When I got the call that there was a need to covertly capture an engagement shoot, I rose to the occasion and collaborated with @nolascoimage and @ridgeroadwinery to establish a perimeter around the target couple and we snapped (well he snapped, I rolled) away! Check out this video capturing some beautiful moments between @andrewseif and @karin_ishak • I hope you guys enjoy the moment as much as I enjoyed shooting / editing. I was 18 years old and had just left home to step out there and make it on my own. It was my first apartment in a small town that I ended up meeting D.O.... we dropped some bars on a mixtape and besides the amazing energy shared in the cypher, not much else was said. I could tell he was coming from a unique set of experiences. A tome of history and knowledge that he had just scratched the surface of. His project Black Canadian 365 is such an expression of GENERATIONS of aggregated knowledge and invaluable research; it provide our black #canadian youth with a point of reference and sense of identity so they may not feel as 'lost' as I once did.
